Rene is founder of Aito, started in 2012 and quickly grew it into one of the most successful haptic technology companies. Prior to Aito, he was managing director in
a company producing switches for the industrial market.
With his global perspective and entrepreneurial mind, Rene has built a worldwide customer and supplier network.
Rene is mentor of various hardware startup companies and supporting the Filisia Team since 2016. He loves sports (swimming and biking) and renovating his house.
Susan is a seasoned business developer and relationship manager. With wide ranging sector experience including marketing agency; intermediary & trade association;
promotional risk and transformation, she thoroughly enjoys bringing people and companies together.
Outside of Cosmo; Susan is a keen gardener and lover eating shellfish.
Ewa is an education practitioner focusing on technology adoption to support the daily lives and education of neurodiverse children and young people.
Ewa has worked in different settings on the verge of education and technology and is passionate about creating accessible and inclusive learning environments. Ewa is also a SEND Programme Manager at Ignite Hubs, a UK-based charity, where she develops programming resources and offerings for children and young people with Additional Learning Needs. Ewa’s passion for education was sparked by her older sister in their teenage years who encouraged her to tutor children in their neighbourhood. She is also a younger sister to a brother with Down Syndrome. In her free time, Ewa takes every opportunity to travel, listen to jazz music and do yoga.
Alexandros is a hands-on experienced full-stack software engineer with a diverse experience and background in software development.
In the past, he was the owner of a software company dedicated to web and e-commerce development. In the years after that, he has created and been part of various startups and has contributed in building the IT infrastructure on each aspect of their development cycle. Front and back-end development, systems integration, mobile development and hardware communication. He has been a part of the Filisia team since 2017 and the excitement of everyday challenges never seems to decrease. He is interested in building things that can be fun and also enjoys the profound human capabilities of others in sectors like music, video, sports and literature.
Sanjana has a background in Child Psychology and Early Education. Over the last 7 years, she has worked in the early intervention
and education sector in India, US and now the UK.Her experience with children with special needs in India has driven her towards creating educational content for families. It brings her immense joy to work with children and families.
Socialising is key to her work-life balance and she likes to dance, travel to offbeat places and enjoy different cuisines.
Dimitris is an Embedded Systems Engineer with almost 2 decades of experience in Electronics Design and Embedded Software Development.
From 2003 to 2010 he developed Embedded Software for Telecom & Industrial applications. Since 2010, he has been designing electronics and software for Medical Devices. He is collaborating with Filisia for the design of Cosmo since 2015.
Huzaiffa leads efforts in email marketing, social media management and advertising. With a background in SEO, sales, and a bachelor’s degree
in Economics, he brings both analytical and creative approaches to digital marketing. When he’s not diving into research or fine-tuning campaigns, you’ll find him throwing punches in MMA, chasing down footballs, or watching anime.
Veeram Karnawat is an associate operations manager with a focus on optimising global supply chains and streamlining logistics for manufacturing and distribution.
His expertise spans across cross-border shipping and handling small-volume, high-value products efficiently.
Sabin has a background in Artificial Intelligence, data analytics and software development. He joined as part of the KTP program with London Metropolitan
University and is our resident data scientist. He has professional experience in both the academic and technology sector. Previously has worked as a backend software developer with experience in cloud administration and DevOps. He also has experience as a researcher conducting technological research for academic organisations. He joined Filisia in 2023 and has contributed to various data related implementations in the product.
Vishal Adarsh is a Senior UX Designer with a strong track record in shaping seamless user experiences for high-growth startups and innovative platforms. He has led the
design of intuitive products for millions of users, focusing on industries like gaming, automotive SaaS, and web3. With deep expertise in developing AI-driven solutions and creating engaging, scalable digital products, he’s currently refining user experiences in his current role. Outside of work, you’ll find him playing carrom, cricket, or brainstorming new ideas over a beer!
